New Years Eve 2016: A quick reflection.

In light of everything that has happened this year and tonight being the last night of said year, I figured I'd go over some good that happened (for me) this year.

 

The Podcast here has more than doubled in subscriptions / downloads from last year.

Became even closer to one of my closest friends.

Reconnected with an old friend I haven't seen in a long while.

Crafting like a madman, Owning Halloween costumes this year.

Developed a new found love of airplanes in my Son.

Enriched and nurtured my Daughter's love for creating / making.

Was affirmed in the love that I have in my friends.

Made so many things, AT-AT, BiPlane, toy accessories, habitat options for the pets, etc.

Overcame a bit of my fear of spiders by becoming a Tarantula owner.

Reconnected with my Dad a little bit more.

Fixed and saved a bunch of things instead of replacing them.

Was allowed to be there for someone who didn't normally share.

Made it through the majority of healing a compound break in my arm without needing surgery (so far).

Laughed at a good portion of my mistakes and misfortune.

Found a community and new friends in a manner that didn't even register as an option or possible.

 

Made new friends.

Let go of a few toxic ones.

Come to terms that I can't do everything, and that's ok.

I know there's more, but as it goes, it's a lot harder to remember the good things that happened in a really bad year. I guess I'm just grateful that I can remember at least that much.

Going onto this next year, and saying goodbye to this one, make it a point to remember the good things. No matter how small. They add up and can do amazing things.

I know I speak for Dale when I say that doing this show, and being a part of this community IS one

of the "Good" things that happen to us every year since we started this. Having you guys along for the ride just adds to it.
